ABU DHABI // Cleaning and office staff at Khalifa University were awarded during a ceremony as part of a Ramadan project organised by two staff members.

The month-long “We Care, We Share” project involved donations collected from staff, faculty and students and came as part of the scientific university’s commitment to the Zayed Giving Initiative, according to the state news agency, Wam.

“Our father, the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, remains a role model for the UAE, for its youth, both locals and expatriates alike,” said Dr Arif Al Hammadi, Khalifa University’s executive vice president.

“He is remembered for his tolerance, determination, compassion and commitment, and these traits still act as a guiding light for us, inspiring us to do better and to give more to those in need. Khalifa University is dedicated to maintaining Sheikh Zayed’s ideals, to helping others, and to contributing to the growth of this nation.”
