DUBAI // Pupils from schools in Dubai toured Hatta and learned about the community as part of an educational and development programme.

More than 280 pupils from nine private schools are to participate in Treasures of Hatta offered by Dubai’s Knowledge and Human Development Authority.

The pupils visited Hill Park, the local fort and homes, and heard stories from members of the community.

The programme’s aim is to “create a learning experience which unites students with nature and helps them discover new cultures in a real-life setting”, said Dr Abdulla Al Karam, director general of KHDA.

“Our continued commitment to the Hatta development plan is aimed at supporting projects and initiatives which will improve the happiness of people,” he said.

“By working together with students and educators, we are engaging learners in discovering something new and creating life experiences, which are unforgettable.”

The programme, which runs until March 18, was also part of the Hatta Wellbeing District project amid development efforts in the area.
