The headmaster at the British School Al Khubairat in Abu Dhabi has resigned nine months into the job.
No reason was immediately given for Dr Chris Ray’s resignation.
Elaine Rawlings, the school’s deputy head of education and communications, has been appointed as acting head in the interim, effective immediately.
“I look forward to leading the excellent work and vision that is already in progress,” Mrs Rawlings said.
“Our main focus at the moment is to ensure the high quality of learning continues to be a priority.”
