Early cancer detection centres planned for Northern Emirates

The Ministry of Health will start building three specialised early cancer detection centres in Sharjah, Fujairah and RAK early next year with the aim of reducing the incidence of the three most common types of cancer in the UAE: cervical cancer, breast and colon.

Meanwhile, the Ministry of Health has announced it will open also a family health centre in Al Bida area in Sharjah. The Ministry of Public Works is expected to deliver the project in December this year with the facility ready to open in 2015.
