Dubai ferries to offer New Year's Eve fireworks trip for Dh450

Water taxis, abras and ferries will all be available

Revellers in Dubai will be able to watch this New Year’s Eve fireworks from on board the city’s ferries and water taxis.

Transport officials announced abras and other vessels would offer tourists and residents the chance to see the celebrations from the water.

Dubai Ferry trips costing up to Dh450 will start from Marina Mall Station, Ghubaiba Station in Dubai Creek and Aquarium Marine Station in Sharjah.

Abra journeys will go from Dubai Festival City, Jaddaf Station and Ghubaiba Station, with a fare of Dh125 for adults.

Meanwhile, trips on water taxis will start at Marina Mall Station and cost Dh450 per person.

“Watching stunning fireworks from Burj Khalifa, Burj Al Arab and Atlantis during a charming tour of the Dubai Waterfront is bound to bring unforgettable memories,” said Mohammed Abu Baker Al Hashmi, director of Marine Traffic at Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority.

“The Dubai Ferry, Water Bus, Water Taxi and abras have special appeal thanks to the picturesque coastal line of the city.”
