Dubai's huge ferris wheel is taking shape with five of the eight main sections now completed.

Dubai Media Office shared aerial images of the structure, built on the man-made Bluewaters Island, as it comes together.

At over 210 metres tall, the Dubai Eye will surpass the 167-metre High Roller in Las Vegas, which opened in 2014.

“Once completed, Ain Dubai will emerge as an engineering masterpiece, the first of its kind in the industry, and a truly spectacular must-visit attraction, adding a unique experience and vantage point to the list of things to do in Dubai,” Omar Delawar, the chief projects officer at Meraas, said last year.
