DUBAI // Dubai Traffic Police said they have seized a car that was involved in a viral social media prank featuring dangerous stunts.

Police have launched an investigation into the video which has more than four million views on YouTube and shows a comedian scaring a woman when the driver flips the car on to two wheels and balances it driving down the road.

Colonel Saif Muhair Al Mazroui, director of Dubai Traffic Police, said that the father of the driver in the video came to the police department to hand over the car and apologise for his son’s actions.

Police said that the video, which was filmed professionally with the help of drone cameras, was shot outside Dubai.

“The people involved in the video endangered their lives and the lives of others. It was possible for the car to flip over resulting in their deaths,” said Colonel Al Mazroui.

Colonel Al Mazroui asked parents and guardians to educate their children on teen driving risks and about the law.

“These teenagers do not realise the gravity of their actions. What they perceive as humorous moments could possibly be the last moments of their lives. They could end up in an accident or end up with a permanent disability,” he said.

The maker of the video is known for his pranks. He is not in the UAE at present.
