DUBAI// Fundraisers will tackle an assault course in sub-zero temperatures to help disadvantaged children.
The competitors will negotiate a series of complex obstacles based on the world's toughest commando assault course.
All money raised will go to the Beit Al Khair Society, which provides support for disadvantaged children with special needs.
The challenge is open to anyone aged 15 and above, and involves tackling 18 obstacles in temperatures of -2°C at the indoor ski slope at Mall of the Emirates.
The course will include rope trails, a crawl through an ice tunnel, hill slides and zorbing, which is rolling down a hill inside a giant inflatable ball.
The top competitor and up to six friends will win a stay at the Kempinski Mall of the Emirates Hotel worth Dh50,000, and the runners-up will win Fitness First membership, spa vouchers and dinner at the Pullman Mall of the Emirates Hotel, among other prizes.
Participants will receive goodie bags containing T-shirts and vouchers for food and drinks.
The Ice Warrior Challenge III will take place at Ski Dubai on November 16. Registration costs Dh250, which goes directly to the Beit Al Khair Society.
