DUBAI // The teams involved in the design and construction of Dubai Canal were able to have their cake and eat it too at a celebratory party on Thursday.
Contractors, consultants and members of government departments were treated to a massive replica of the now 24km-long waterway as Mattar Al Tayer, Director General and Chairman of the board of directors of the Roads and Transport Authority, congratulated the teams for their achievement.
The cake featured edible replicas of the three main bridges, surrounding buildings and the pedestrian walkway.
