Prosecutors said that at 2am on September 23 last year Russian A A, 24, was under the influence of alcohol when he approached Iranian M T, 27, who was in his car.

A A banged on the car window and told M T he had parked badly. When M T got out, A A punched him in the face.

S R, 24, the victim’s wife, told prosecutors that A A was shouting at her husband. “He screamed at my husband and punched him. Then he walked away but returned and punched my husband again and ran away.”

Police officer M M, 22, stated in his report that he found M T bleeding from the nose. “There was several bruises on his right check. The couple told us that the man was drunk and that he was inside a building.

“We found several Russians inside and they directed us to the apartment where A A resides, where we arrested him,” said the officer.

During interrogations, A A told police that he asked M T why he had parked his car badly. “M T started screaming at me so I punched him,” A A said.
