DUBAI // Jumeirah Village Circle will be receiving improvements its intersections and traffic signals in a project worth Dh27.5 million.
The work on the 811 hectare community will begin next month and take 10 months to complete.
Nakheel, the company in charge of the construction, said Jumeirah Villiage Circle residents can look forward to easier access to the community via a new entry and exit road from Dubai’s Hessa Street.
Construction will begin when proposals have been received and evaluated and a contractor appointed.
JVC, when complete, will accommodate some 300,000 people in more than 700 villas at JVC, with over 230 buildings, villas and town houses by third party developers either complete or under construction.
Another 267 design applications for residential, commercial and hospitality developments are under review.
JVC will also be home to The Circle Mall, a new shopping, dining and entertainment hub, with 235 shops, cafes and restaurants and a multi-screen cinema.
Jumeirah Village Circle also features 33 landscaped parks, spanning more than four million square feet in total.
