RAS AL KHAIMAH // The Courts Department in Ras Al Khaimah has revealed a decline in the number of family dispute case in the Emirate during the second half of 2014 and the beginning of 2015.
According to Al Ittihad, The National's Arabic sister publication, 48 were registered in January, the lowest rate registered by the department.
The figure is the lowest since the opening of the Department of Reform and Family guidance at Ras Al Khaimah Courts in 2006.
The number of disputes dropped from 824 in 2013 to 732 in 2014.
Sixty-two per cent of all disputes registered by the Department in 2014 involved Emirati families, compared to 70 to 75 per cent in previous years.
