ABU DHABI // A man accused of crashing into a police car and trying to run away told a Criminal Court judge today that "of course" he had consumed psychotropic drugs.
The man claimed the police car crashed into him, rather than the other way round. "No one told me they were from the police, I thought maybe they are enemies or a mob," said the man.
He said he believed there were seven cars chasing him, and that he needed to run away to escape "the enemy". Asked by the judge whether he had taken drugs and psychotropic pills, he replied "Of course!"
The case was adjourned.
