A Drunken man launched a late-night attack on a female colleague before his friend threatened to kill her for reporting the incident to police.
The Pakistani worker, 28, tried to drag his compatriot into the bathroom and repeatedly punched her during an unprovoked assault at their shared accommodation in Al Rashidiya, Dubai, shortly after midnight on March 24.
Another flatmate came to the woman's aid when he heard her screams, pushing the assailant away.
The victim then contacted police.
“He said he wanted to have sex with me as he punched me repeatedly,” she said in court records.
After the man was arrested, his friend, who was also intoxicated, issued death threats to the woman.
The woman, whose age was not disclosed in records, again called police, who returned to the scene to arrest the second offender.
The fellow Pakistani hurled further abuse at police and attempted to resist arrest.
The older defendant was convicted of sexual and physical assault while his countryman was found guilty of making threats to kill and resisting arrest.
Both defendants were also convicted of consuming alcohol without a license.
They will be deported after serving their six month prison terms.
