ABU DHABI // A man tried to smuggle three illegal immigrants out of the country through Al Ain’s border with Oman in the trunk of his car, prosecutors said on Tuesday.
The man, identified as a GCC citizen, confessed to receiving money from the trio in exchange for smuggling them out of the UAE.
They also confessed that they were deported in 2013, but managed to sneak back into the country.
The man was also charged with endangering their lives by hiding them inside the trunk of his car.
