ABU DHABI // A labourer who bragged about raping one of his colleagues was stabbed to death in revenge, a court heard today.
Four men - who included the rape victim - kidnapped and murdered him before leaving his body in the desert in Al Rahba.
Prosecutors told the Criminal Court that three of the men had managed to escape the authorities, but that TI, from Bangladesh, had been caught.
He denied taking part in the killing.
"I wasn't with them," he testified.
However, he said he knew the killers and that one of them had phoned him and told him about the murder. He denied knowing the dead man.
The case was adjourned to July 29 to appoint a lawyer for TI and to contact the family of the dead man.
