ABU DHABI // Runners of all ages gathered together for a charity fun run in the emirate organised by Etihad Airways as part of its 10-year anniversary celebrations.

All money raised from the five-kilometre run along Abu Dhabi's Corniche, which took place on Friday, will go to the Abu Dhabi Autism Centre, which provides psychiatric and educational services to children with autism.

The five fastest runners at the event won a pair of tickets to any Etihad Airways' destination.

"As the UAE flag carrier, we are at the heart of the community, we feel strongly about giving back to those in need," said Khaled Al Mehairbi, Etihad's chairman of the Sports and Social Committee.
