RAS AL KHAIMAH // A sinking boat off the Qawasim corniche coast was rescued by maritime rescue teams in Ras Al Khaimah early on Tuesday.
The RAK police operations room was notified that a boat had capsized and the fishermen using it had failed to pull it out of the water because of its heavy weight.
Rescue and ambulance teams went to the scene and the boat was pulled out of the water and given to the owner, police said.
Capt Yousuf Al Mansouri, head of the RAK police maritime rescue division, urged boat owners to exercise caution and avoid leaving fishing boats near the coast.
