A TV station that aired a candid-camera style show, and its production crew, have been fined Dh5,000 each for featuring three Emirati women in an episode without their consent.
They filed charges after a prank was played on them at a mall, then broadcast.
They accused the show of breaching their privacy and sought financial compensation for emotional damages and family problems.
The station, under the Dubai Media Group, and the production crew were found guilty by the Abu Dhabi Court of Misdemeanours.
