ABU DHABI // The National and Reserve Service Committee has asked companies and organisations to nominate eligible candidates for its next recruiting session on January 16.
The committee posted a notice on social media on Sunday, stating: “All government entities and private sector organisations are urged to send a list that includes 45 per cent of male Emirati employees who are eligible for reserve service under the National Service and Reserve Law.”
The companies and organisations are also required to prepare a “back-up” list of another 10 per cent of eligible male Emirati employees, should some included in the first list not comply with requirements.
The move is to action preparations for recruitment into the upcoming batch of reserves on January 16.
Lists must be sent to info@uaensr.ae.
The committee also asked companies to inform all nominated candidates to visit recruiting offices to complete recruitment proceedings.
Training for the national service takes nine months or two years, and is mandatory for every able-bodied Emirati male between the ages of 18 and 30.
