ABU DHABI // A bus supervisor, held partly responsible for a three-year-old girl’s death, has been given one last chance to appoint a lawyer - the Court of Misdemeanours decided on Sunday.

F A, from the Philippines, is accused along with the bus driver, school principal, administrator and the owner of the bus company of negligence in their responsibilities that lead to the girl’s death.

Lawyers representing the other defendants were present in court, while F A asked for the second time for an adjournment to appoint a defence attorney.

“We will give her one last chance until Sunday, if no lawyer is present then we will book the following session to announce the verdict,” announced the judge. “The case his taking longer than it should.”

All five defendants have plead not guilty.
