Boy rescued after fall in water park

The park released a statement that the boy, from Oman, took off his safety jacket and fell into one of the lazy rivers.

SHARJAH // A three-year-old boy was taken to hospital yesterday after falling into a man-made river at Al Montazah Amusement and Water Park.

The park said the boy, from Oman, had taken off his lifejacket.

He was taken unconscious to Al Qasimi Hospital, where his condition was described as stable.

Khalid Al Qaseer, manager of Al Montazah Amusement and Water Park, said he hoped the child made a full recovery and urged parents to keep an eye on their children.

“We are in direct contact with the boy’s family and the hospital to ensure [he] is receiving the required medication and treatment.”
