DUBAI // A blacksmith was sentenced to five months in jail on Thursday for molesting two women in separate incidents.
Dubai Criminal Court convicted Afghan KS, 35, of sexual assaults against 26-year-old Filipina RL and Pakistani TW, 32.
Records show that at about 11.30pm on July 30, the blacksmith saw the Filipina standing in front of a building. He walked towards her and, as he drew closer, he touched her breast.
“When I screamed, he ran away,” said the woman, who told building security.
Half an hour later, the defendant spotted the Pakistani at the building’s car park. He spanked her on the behind and, as she screamed, he took off.
“I chased him but could not catch him, therefore I informed the security guards,” said TW, who was told by the guards about the Filipina being molested too.
The women met and realised it was the same man so they went to a police station together to report him. The guards got hold of the man within minutes of the second attack.
He will be deported after serving his jail term.
