Beach club Zero Gravity issued an apology after a customer was seen carrying out an indecent act in its swimming pool.
A video of the incident filmed by guests shows a club-goer touching himself with his shorts pulled down in the glass-walled pool, which was packed with fellow revellers.
The footage was widely shared on social media and WhatsApp at the weekend.
In a statement, a spokeswoman for the Dubai beach club said the man was immediately removed from the premises and was banned from returning.
“The conduct of this individual, who was immediately removed and banned from Zero Gravity, fell well below what is expected by our guests and we sincerely apologise for any distress or anxiety caused,” said the spokeswoman.
“The well-being of our guests is our priority and we have zero tolerance for any inappropriate conduct.”
The footage caused disbelief on social media, though many users cautioned each other about the legal consequences of sharing the footage.

“Our guests can be assured that all water hygiene controls were in place at the time of the incident, including hourly water quality checks,” said the spokeswoman.
“We have carried out a number of hygiene tests and activities since the incident to continue to protect the well-being of everyone who enjoys Zero Gravity.”
The spokeswoman would not confirm if police were called to the club over the incident, but said “Zero Gravity is offering its complete co-operation to the authorities”.
