Al Ain Zoo has launched a new veterinary consultancy service, which will be provided by the zoo’s new veterinary diagnostic and research unit.
“We are proud to extend our services in the field of veterinary care to wild and exotic zoo animals throughout the UAE” said Muna Al Dhaheri, chief of conservation and education at the zoo.
“Al Ain Zoo is home to internationally important conservation programmes that focus on several aspects such as animal management and wildlife sustainability. The veterinary consultancy services will add to Al Ain Zoo’s portfolio.”
The zoo is a member of the World Association for Zoo and Aquaria and is involved in several international conservation projects.
