ABU DHABI // The last 12 months have seen huge strides made by the Sawab Centre as part of ongoing campaigns to counter Isil’s ideology.
The joint UAE-US centre was launched in July last year and has given millions of people around the world a voice on social media to oppose the terror group, reported state news agency Wam.
Sawab has 104,000 followers on Twitter and almost 250,000 on Facebook, with 10 separate social media campaigns launched exposing Isil’s propaganda.
The centre has highlighted the terrorist group’s treatment of women and children, as well as foreign fighters.
