Abandoned newborn found in front of Sharjah mosque

Investigations are under way to find the healthy baby boy's parents

A newborn baby boy was found abandoned in Sharjah on Saturday.

Police told Al Roeya, an Arabic language newspaper, that boy was found wrapped in a blanket on the doorstep of a mosque in Al Qasba area in the early morning.

The baby was taken to Al Qasimi Hospital, where it was revealed that he was only few days old and in good health condition.

He was transferred to the paediatric section to be kept under medical observation.

An investigation is under way to find the baby’s parents.
