The Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation sent an aircraft carrying 50 tonnes of medical assistance to Yemen, under the orders of the President, Sheikh Khalifa, and Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces.

An official at the foundation said a plane carrying another 50 tonnes of medical supplies will fly out on Monday.

Delivering aid is in line with the directives of the UAE’s leadership to help the people of Yemen.

The first flight took off from Abu Dhabi on Thursday.

Thousands have been affected by the conflict between coalition forces and the Houthi militia.

Emirates Red Crescent has also delivered more than 830 tonnes of aid to Yemen.
