More than 75 million PCR tests have now been carried out since the outbreak began.

A further 1,504 people beat the virus, pushing the recovery total to 709,659.

One patient died in the past 24 hours after contracting the virus, increasing the death toll to 2,044.

The number of active cases in the Emirates, currently at 9,605 - the lowest since March 1 - continued to decline thanks to the continuing trend of recoveries surpassing daily infections.
