AL AIN // Municipality officials demolished 11 abandoned houses in the western sector of the city.

The houses’ removal was part of an Al Ain City Municipality campaign to tear down houses that were having a detrimental effect on the landscape and safety of the city.

Houses in Al Salamat and Al Khazna were the first to be demolished so as to maintain the urban and cultural landscape of the city accordingly with its 2030 Strategic Plan.

Fahd Al Nuaimi, director of controls and inspections at the municipality, said the demolition process went ahead smoothly.
