Sinan is a native of Iraq and he has covered Iraq for more than 18 years. He has previously worked for the Associated Press as a senior Iraq correspondent, covering economy, security, politics and daily life. As a freelance reporter, he also wrote for many Arabic and western publications, including The National. He holds a BA in English Translation from College of Arts, Al-Mustansiriya University, Iraq.
