English football columnist Richard Jolly names his Best XI in the Premier League for the February 7-8 weekend. Click the arrows above to scroll through the team.
Goalkeeper: Julian Speroni (Crystal Palace). Made a string of fine saves as Palace frustrated Leicester and secured an away win at the King Power Stadium.
Right-back: Branislav Ivanovic (Chelsea). A player with a habit of scoring vital goals delivered another with an emphatic winner at Villa Park. What a season he is having.
Centre-back: Cheikhou Kouyate (West Ham). A midfielder operating as a makeshift centre-back scored with the aplomb of a striker against Manchester United. He defended valiantly, too.
Centre-back: Alex Bruce (Hull). Performed with intelligence as part of the Hull defence who kept Manchester City at bay until injury time at the Etihad Stadium.
Left-back: Maya Yoshida (Southampton). With their specialist left-backs suspended and injured, respectively, centre-back Yoshida had to stand in for much of the match at QPR.
Right midfield: Jordon Ibe (Liverpool). A surprise selection for the Merseyside derby, the fearless, skilful teenager was the most dangerous player on the pitch.
Centre midfield: Ryan Mason (Tottenham). The all-action midfielder never stopped running in the North London derby as Tottenham wore down Arsenal with their energy.
Centre midfield: Ki Sung-yueng (Swansea). The underrated South Korean earned his side a point against Sunderland with a well-taken equaliser.
Left midfield: Willian (Chelsea). If the Brazilian's place is under threat after the signing of Juan Cuadrado, he produced the best possible response with a terrific display against Aston Villa.
Striker: Danny Ings (Burnley). Scored one and made one in an electric first-half display against West Brom. Sadly for Ings, Burnley still couldn't win.
Striker: Harry Kane (Tottenham). Who else? The Spurs fan marked his first North London derby by scoring both goals in a 2-1 win over Arsenal.
