Arsenal are coming off a higly charged Premier League loss to Chelsea, which saw Gabriel Paulista and Santi Cazorla sent off, which itself followed up an emotional Champions League loss to Dinamo Zagreb, in which Olivier Giroud was shown two yellows.
The emotions are unlikely to abate on Wednesday night, with Tottenham Hotspur hosting loathed rivals Arsenal in the third round of the League Cup.
"It's true that we played the last two games with 10 men in the second half and I hope we play the next one with 11 v 11," Wenger said. "But it's another derby and that's not guaranteed as well."
