In April 1982, a 17-year-old from Utrecht became one of many teenagers to be granted a rapid elevation to the Ajax first team. He was Marco van Basten, the greatest striker of his generation. The following month a rather burlier forward, Peter Withe, defeated Bayern Munich to make Aston Villa the champions of Europe.
Aston Villa and Ajax meet tonight, linked in two respects. Both European Cup winners, they have a shared commitment to developing young players. Johan Cruyff apart, Ajax's youth system has produced no greater talent than Van Basten, their current manager. Villa, meanwhile, have emerged as credible challengers to England's "Big Four" because of their faith in emerging talent.
In Ashley Young, Gabriel Agbonlahor and Curtis Davies, they have appropriated the Ajax blueprint.
So their encounter tonight should be that rarity, an unmissable Uefa Cup tie. The competition can be a melting pot of mediocrity, but occasionally it produces a game to capture the imagination.
As the Villa goalkeeper Brad Friedel said: "This year, for some reason, when you saw the teams in the Uefa Cup, it mirrors some Champions League fixtures.The likes of AC Milan, Valencia, Sevilla and then in our group, Hamburg and Ajax. They have both won the competition and play in the Champions League often."
Ajax have played there rather less frequently recently. They conquered Europe in 1995 with a team who were almost entirely homegrown, but the Bosman Ruling brought a premature halt to their rise, and may have rendered a fifth European Cup impossible. Now they are ninth in the Dutch league and, like Villa, are as willing to purchase budding talent as they are to develop it. The ?16.25million (Dh77m) Serbian striker Miralem Sulejmani is Ajax's record signing and only 19. Yet when Villa spent £9.6m (Dh58m) on Ashley Young, it appeared excessive. Now it seems a far-sighted decision from Martin O'Neill, the second European Cup winner in the dugout.
When the commentary of Withe's winner is displayed on a banner draped across Villa Park's North Stand, the past is unforgettable, but these are two clubs who have made an investment in the future.

Real estate tokenisation project
Dubai launched the pilot phase of its real estate tokenisation project last month.
The initiative focuses on converting real estate assets into digital tokens recorded on blockchain technology and helps in streamlining the process of buying, selling and investing, the Dubai Land Department said.
Dubai’s real estate tokenisation market is projected to reach Dh60 billion ($16.33 billion) by 2033, representing 7 per cent of the emirate’s total property transactions, according to the DLD.

Classification of skills
A worker is categorised as skilled by the MOHRE based on nine levels given in the International Standard Classification of Occupations (ISCO) issued by the International Labour Organisation.
A skilled worker would be someone at a professional level (levels 1 – 5) which includes managers, professionals, technicians and associate professionals, clerical support workers, and service and sales workers.
The worker must also have an attested educational certificate higher than secondary or an equivalent certification, and earn a monthly salary of at least Dh4,000.

Types of bank fraud
1) Phishing
Fraudsters send an unsolicited email that appears to be from a financial institution or online retailer. The hoax email requests that you provide sensitive information, often by clicking on to a link leading to a fake website.
2) Smishing
The SMS equivalent of phishing. Fraudsters falsify the telephone number through “text spoofing,” so that it appears to be a genuine text from the bank.
3) Vishing
The telephone equivalent of phishing and smishing. Fraudsters may pose as bank staff, police or government officials. They may persuade the consumer to transfer money or divulge personal information.
4) SIM swap
Fraudsters duplicate the SIM of your mobile number without your knowledge or authorisation, allowing them to conduct financial transactions with your bank.
5) Identity theft
Someone illegally obtains your confidential information, through various ways, such as theft of your wallet, bank and utility bill statements, computer intrusion and social networks.
6) Prize scams
Fraudsters claiming to be authorised representatives from well-known organisations (such as Etisalat, du, Dubai Shopping Festival, Expo2020, Lulu Hypermarket etc) contact victims to tell them they have won a cash prize and request them to share confidential banking details to transfer the prize money.
The five stages of early child’s play
From Dubai-based clinical psychologist Daniella Salazar:
1. Solitary Play: This is where Infants and toddlers start to play on their own without seeming to notice the people around them. This is the beginning of play.
2. Onlooker play: This occurs where the toddler enjoys watching other people play. There doesn’t necessarily need to be any effort to begin play. They are learning how to imitate behaviours from others. This type of play may also appear in children who are more shy and introverted.
3. Parallel Play: This generally starts when children begin playing side-by-side without any interaction. Even though they aren’t physically interacting they are paying attention to each other. This is the beginning of the desire to be with other children.
4. Associative Play: At around age four or five, children become more interested in each other than in toys and begin to interact more. In this stage children start asking questions and talking about the different activities they are engaging in. They realise they have similar goals in play such as building a tower or playing with cars.
5. Social Play: In this stage children are starting to socialise more. They begin to share ideas and follow certain rules in a game. They slowly learn the definition of teamwork. They get to engage in basic social skills and interests begin to lead social interactions.
