The news of Pep Guardiola taking over as Manchester City manager dominates The National Sport front page on Tuesday, February 2.
After months of speculation, City announced on Monday evening that Bayern Munich manager Guardiola had agreed a three-year contract and will replace current coach Manuel Pellegrini at the end of the season.
Guardiola, who won 14 trophies as Barcelona coach before moving to Bayern, was the most sought-after manager in football following his decision to end his three year stay in Germany.
However, despite interest from Chelsea and reportedly Manchester United, his arrival at City was expected.
As Andy Mitten writes, Manchester United could only watch as the stars aligned for Pep Guardiola at Manchester City.
Meanwhile, Richard Jolly has praised the long-term view taken by Manchester City in their pursuit of Guardiola.
