Jol, speaking after Fulham's 1-1 friendly draw against Real Betis on Monday, revealed Taarabt is due to have a medical on Tuesday ahead of his proposed loan move. Taarabt first moved to England as a teenager when he signed for Jol during the Dutchman's reign at Tottenham. The 24 year old has made more than 150 appearances for QPR since joining, initially on loan, from Tottenham in 2009 and was named the Championship's player of the year as he helped the Hoops win promotion in 2011. Taarabt was not named in QPR's squad for their victory over Sheffield Wednesday on the opening day of the Championship season on Saturday. He was sent home from the club's pre-season camp in Devon last month after turning up late for a training session. Remy bound for Newcastle Another player leaving QPR is Loic Remy, the French striker, who is on his way to Newcastle United. Remy was late on Monday signed on a season-long loan from the Londoners, who he joined in the January transfer window and scored six goals in 14 appearances Remy said he wanted to keep playing in the Premier League to boost his chances of making the France squad for next year's World Cup. "I know in order to do that I need to have a big season and a successful campaign with Newcastle United," he said. Alan Pardew, the Newcastle manager, said Remy will be "a great addition to the squad, he gives us strength and pace up front and I'm sure he'll bring plenty of goals". Follow us
