Novak Djokovic makes the cover of The National Sport on May 14, 2016 after the top-ranked player in men's tennis beat rival Rafael Nadal in the Italian Open quarter-finals on Friday.

Djokovic stretched his winning streak over Nadal to seven matches with a thrilling 7-5, 7-6 victory to book his spot in the last four.

The defending champion now faces the winner of Friday night’s late quarter-final, between Kei Nishikori of Japan and Austrian Dominic Thiem.

Nadal’s last win over the seemingly unstoppable Serbian goes back to his victory in the final of Roland Garros in 2014.
