Dubai Tennis: Jennifer Brady defeats Garbine Muguruza in quarter-finals - Day 4 updates

Wednesday saw an epic showdown at the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships between Romanian Simona Halep and Ons Jabeur of Tunisia, with the world No 2 ultimately prevailing after losing the first set.

Spain's Garbine Muguruza too had to dig deep to defeat Russia's Veronika Kudermetova in two hours and 25 minutes and set up a last-eight clash with American Jennifer Brady.

On Thursday, the last eight standing battled for a spot in the semi-finals on Centre Court.

Muguruza lost her match to Brady as the American continued her giant-slaying in Dubai.
