David Warner is seen celebrating on The National Sport front page on Saturday, May 28 after Sunrisers Hyderabad beat Gujarat Lions, whose captain Suresh Raina looks forlorn in the background. Warner scored an unbeaten 93 as the Australian opener played a captain's knock to take the southern Indian franchise to the Indian Premier League (IPL) final against Royal Challengers Bangalore, their Deccan rivals.

Warner said at the end of the game that he was not worried about Bangalore’s opposition – a line-up that includes world-class batsmen such as Virat Kohli, AB de Villiers, Chris Gayle and Shane Watson – but rather what his team would do. Hyderabad look like a one-man team who are overly dependent on their leader, but if that leader bats the way he did on Friday, Bangalore will likely lose the contest.

In any case, it promises to be a cracking summit clash between the derby rivals.
