Romain Grosjean topped the times in a wet first practice session for the British Grand Prix.
The Lotus driver clocked a best time of 1 minute 56.552 seconds around the Northamptonshire circuit in England as part of the preparations for Sunday's race.
Daniel Ricciardo was a surprise second in his Toro Rosso, ahead of Lewis Hamilton's McLaren-Mercedes.
Sebastian Vettel, was 11th quickest in his Red Bull Racing car, while Fernando Alonso, the world championship leader and winner of last year's race, did not set a competitive lap time.
