The Manchester City footballer Robinho has been arrested and released on bail in connection with an accusation of sexual assault. The 24-year-old Brazilian forward, whose full name is Robson de Souza, was questioned by police about an alleged incident at a nightclub in Leeds in northern England on Jan 14. He denies any wrongdoing. Robinho joined Manchester City from Real Madrid in September for a British record transfer fee of £32.5 million (then equivalent to Dh213m).
