Jarrah Al Selawi said he is ready to face all comers after regaining the Brave Combat Federation’s world welterweight title on Friday and ending Abdoul Abdouragiumov’s unbeaten run of 10 straight wins.
The Jordanian was well ahead when Abdouraguimov’s corner threw in the towel before the start of the fourth round after Al Selawi had landed a thunderous shot to the Frenchman's head at the end of the third before he was saved by the bell.
“This result was achieved through blood, sweat and tears and this win is not just for me but an entire team effort,” Al Selawi declared amidst loud cheers from his fans at Mubadala Arena.
“I thank to all my fans who came in numbers to stand behind me in support. It’s support from the fans that gives me the extra motivation and tonight’s result is also for them.”
Al Selawi used his kick boxing skills to control proceedings with razor-sharp strikes while managing to evade Abdouraguimov’s attempted take downs.

Abdouraguimov's corner wisely decided their fighter could not continue, sending Al Selawe’s camp into wild celebrations as the Jordanian extended his MMA record to 14 wins from 17 fights.
“I worked very hard to regain this title,” Al Selawi said. “I worked a lot on my wrestling skills to stay away from my opponent’s attempts to force me to the ground game.
“I don’t know who is next for me but I’m ready to take on anyone in my title defence. I’ll keep training until then and until then I’m going to celebrate this victory on the night.”
Alex Sanchez registered a second-round stoppage of Anas Siraj Mounir in the Brave CF 27 co-main event.
After an evenly-contested opening round, the Canadian fired two quick jabs to the jaw of Mounir that left the Moroccan on his haunches with stopping the fight 20 seconds into the second round of their lightweight contest.
“I’m very glad with tonight’s work. I thank Jesus, I thank my wife and my team that stood in my corner for this result,” Sanchez said.
“I take every opponent as any other because you never know what could happen in the next second in a fight. In this contest, I got the chance to finish my opponent off pretty quickly in the second round,” Sanchez said.
The night kicked off with Pakistan's Zia Mashwani scoring a unanimous verdict over Filipino bantamweight Chris Corton.
The next two fights had the fans up on their feet with Flavio Serafin and Dwight Brooks winning their respective super lightweight bouts by knockout.
Brazilian Serafin caught Mohammed Al Khatib of Jordan with a crunching right hook in the second round and American Brooks finished off Alex Nacfur of with a series of left-right combination at the start of the third.
