Boxing world champion Manny Pacquiao has released a special video charting his recent trip to Dubai for the Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League exhibition matches.

The 40-year-old Filipino took part in the MPBL – a competition he launched in 2017 – event at Hamdan Sports Complex in September, playing in two of the matches, top scoring in each.

While he was in the UAE, Pacquiao also spoke to The National about the possibility of fighting in Dubai or Abu Dhabi in a high-profile bout for late next year, to coincide with Expo 2020. The recently opened Coca-Cola Arena has been suggested as a possible venue.

“I’ve decided to experience a fight here in Dubai in the future," he said. "That’s my thinking."

In the 21-minute long video video released on his Twitter account on Monday, the 40-year-old is pictured arriving in the Emirates with his wife, Jinkee, and the rest of 'Team Pacquiao'.

He is seen meeting and greeting fans, taking part in a phone-in on Radio Dubai and taking part in the MPBL exhibition matches.
