Jesse Lingard gave United the first advantage at the 32nd minute but Leicester City’s Jamie Vardy evened things up at the 52nd minute, setting the stage for the former Paris Saint-Germain star’s heroics .
The National's Andy Mitten and Greg Lea each reported from Wembley. On United, Mitten highlights new defender Eric Bailly, who helped stave off pressure from Vardy at key moments. It was a big day for United. In addition to the win, it finally looks as though the Paul Pogba transfer is ready to be completed. Jose Mourinho – a trophy-winner one game into his United stint – is happy about this.
