  Al Ahli, a much-celebrated Dubai side, have now qualified to compete in the Asian Champions League. Their seven-point lead over third-placed Baniyas is now untouchable.

  The first goalless draw since the stalemate between Al Ahli and Baniyas in the Pro League's eighth week was played out between Al Shaab and Al Wasl at the Khaled bin Mohammed Stadium. Al Ittihad

  The one man who may have expended more energy than the Al Shaab players on the night was Marius Sumudica, their head coach whose histrionics was worth the watch. The Romanian would have endured plenty of frustration during those 90 scoreless minutes. Jeff???

  The draw also made more difficult Shaab's bid to to stay up in the Pro League next season. The Sharjah side will now need to beat Al Shabab or draw the away game to ensure Dibba Al Fujairah do not get ahead of them. Al Ittihad
