NEW YORK // Raul Ibanez hit a grand slam and added a two-run single - both delivered in a 10-run seventh inning - as the Seattle Mariners overcame a five-run deficit to record an 11-6 triumph over the Minnesota Twins. Ibanez set a club record with six RBIs in an inning, breaking the record of five set by Ken Griffey Jr set on April 29 1999. The 10-run frame was one shy of a Mariners record, which was also set on the same April day against the Detroit Tigers.

Marlon Byrd delivered a walk-off grand slam in the ninth inning to lift the Texas Rangers to a 9-5 victory over the New York Yankees. David Murphy hit a two-run homer in the fourth and Michael Young added a three-run blast in the fifth for the Rangers, who have won five of their last seven contests. Roy Halladay pitched eight sterling innings and was supported by a four-run third as the Toronto Blue Jays recorded a 6-1 win over the Oakland Athletics. Halladay (13-8) allowed four hits and one run - a solo homer by Bobby Crosby in the eighth - while striking out eight and walking one. Cliff Lee (15-2) led the Cleveland Indians over the Tampa Bay Rays with a 5-2 win.
