The opening day of the five-day Royal Ascot race meeting took place at Ascot Racecourse on Tuesday and it was a successful start for Godolphin after Blue Point won the King's Stand Stakes for the second year in a row.
Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, was in attendance to watch Blue Point's victory and was joined at the racecourse by members of the British royal family, including Queen Elizabeth II and Prince William.
