Day 3 of the five-day Royal Ascot race meeting proved a roaring success for Frankie Dettori as the Italian jockey rode the first four winners of the six-race card.

After two wins on Wednesday, Dettori began Thursday by winning the Group 2 Norfolk Stakes aboard A'ali before claiming the Group 3 Hampton Court Stakes with Sangarius.

Dettori then made it three from three in the Group 2 Ribblesdale Stakes with Catcher Star. He then produced his biggest win of the day in the fourth race by winning a second Group 1 Gold Cup in a row aboard Stradivarius.

Dettori received the Gold Cup trophy from Queen Elizabeth II, who was joined at Ascot Racecourse by other member's of the British Royal Family.
