Harry Kane leads as Chelsea, Tottenham and Everton dominate Premier League team of the week

Two players each of Chelsea, Tottenham Hotspur and Everton made it to Richard Jolly's Premier League team of the week – and for good reason.

Goalkeeper: Simon Mignolet (Liverpool)

Often criticised, the Belgian made a brilliant save from Manchester United’s Henrikh Mkhitaryan in a fine display at Old Trafford.

Right-back: Kyle Walker (Tottenham Hotspur)

Both of Spurs’ wing-backs were superb against West Brom. Walker set up Harry Kane’s second goal with persistence and pressure.

Centre-back: Mason Holgate (Everton)

Tom Davies and Ademola Lookman made it a wonderful day for Everton’s youngsters. Holgate helped by snuffing out Sergio Aguero.

Centre-back: Winston Reid (West Ham United)

Andy Carroll scored a wonder goal and Michail Antonio got three assists but defender Reid provided the solidity as Crystal Palace were beaten.

Left-back: Marcos Alonso (Chelsea)

Scoring two goals was remarkable enough. Chelsea’s unlikely match-winner came close to a hat-trick at Leicester in a decisive display.

Right midfield: Pedro (Chelsea)

His goal at Leicester was fine, the flick that preceded it better still. Both showed the excellence the Spaniard has delivered this season.

Centre midfield: Tom Davies (Everton)

Showed the cool to score his first Everton goal with a nonchalant chip to cap an outstanding performance as he overpowered Yaya Toure.

Centre midfield: Mesut Ozil (Arsenal)

Others got the goals – indeed Swansea defenders provided two – but Ozil ran the show for Arsenal in a 4-0 rout in Wales.

Left midfield: Marko Arnautovic (Stoke City)

A brace, including a goal featuring two wonderful one-twos, meant Stoke had secured victory at Sunderland inside 35 minutes.

Striker: Harry Kane (Tottenham Hotspur)

Completed a memorable week in fine fashion, a new father scoring a hat-trick to step up his campaign to retain the Golden Boot.

Striker: Abel Hernandez (Hull City)

Had not scored since August but the Uruguayan returned to form in fine fashion with a brace to win Marco Silva’s first league game in charge.
