Rory McIlroy charged to the front of the field on day two of the DP World Tour Championship at Jumeirah Golf Estates to share the lead on 11-under par with Englishman Luke Donald and Scotland's Marc Warren.
The world No 1 dropped only one shot, on the par-3 fourth, and carded six birdies on his way to a five-under 67 on a windy day in Dubai.
Donald, who led fom Warren and McIlroy after day one, hit a second blemish-free round for a four-under 68, and Warren hit a 67 with one dropped shot.
A pair of South Africans, Branden Grace and Louis Oosthuizen, are one stroke off the lead, and compatriot Charl Schwartzel sits on nine-under with Scot Richie Ramsay.
